Kuranglebih sudah satu bulan lalu saya diminta untuk review perbandingan antara parfum Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia dan Miniso British Pear. Katanya, kedua parfum ini wanginya mirip banget. Dari segi perbandingan harga sih jelas jauh, harga Jo Malone Rp 2.100.000,- (kalau beli di luar London), sedangkan parfum Miniso berkisar Rp150.000,-! Siapa sih beauty enthusiast yang sampai saat ini belum tau satu line parfum dari Miniso yang digadang-gadang sebagai dupe dari Jo Malone? Kalau kalian sudah lama baca reviews-ku, entah dari Instagram ataupun dari Female Daily, pasti tau kalau aku pernah review dua varian dari line ini. Kali ini, aku mau review satu varian lain lagi nih. Varian satu ini adalah varian yang best seller karena disukai oleh banyak orang, dan merupakan varian yang bikin line ini jadi dikenal sama begitu banyak orang. Yep, ini adalah Miniso British Pear! Agak telat yah baru review sekarang? Hahaha. Ini karena dulu aku engga tertarik sama aroma dari varian ini. Btw, katanya sih varian ini dupe dari Jo Malone yang English Pear & Freesia. Seberapa sih kesamaan dari parfum Miniso ini dengan punya Jo Malone? Kalau memang benar semirip itu, lumayan banget kan untuk kita yang low budget bisa beli Jo Malone versi lebih murah ;p Price IDR59,000. Packaging Botol kaca dengan design minimalis yang cantik. Ukurannya juga kecil jadi mudah dibawa-bawa. Notes Top pear/apple, lychee, citrus/hesperidic Middle freesia, peony, transparent floral Base musky, amber, patchouli Sillage & Longevity Soft sillage & weak to moderate longevity. Jika dibandingkan dengan varian Italian Bergamot, karena aroma British Pear ini lebih soft, jelas ketahanannya lebih lemah. Tapi untuk ukuran EDT dan harga jualnya, ketahanan 4~6 jam ini cukup untukku. Result Aku sendiri bingung kenapa awalnya aku engga suka aroma dari varian ini, eh tau-tau sekarang suka banget. Wangi yang seger dan engga menyengat. Tipe wangi fresh fruity with a hint of floral lah kira-kira. Ketika pertama disemprot memang aromanya masih agak kenceng, tapi cepet kok untuk dia settle dan jadi lembut atau nggak nyegrak lagi. Meskipun ada amber pada base note-nya, namun aku nggak ada cium aroma manis yang kuat. Untuk tipe wangi fresh seperti ini, ketahanannya cukup bagus yaitu 4~6 jam jika tidak dipakai di luar ruangan atau motoran dalam waktu yang lama. Aku engga punya parfum Jo Malone yang varian English Pear & Freesia, namun beberapa saat lalu aku sempat semprot ke tangan saat lagi lihat-lihat di counter di mall. Cukup kaget sih karena mirip banget! Tentunya ada beberapa perbedaan, seperti wangi di paling awal dan saat sudah dries down. Kalau engga salah ingat, aroma pembuka Miniso lebih fruity, dan wangi penutup Jo Malone lebih ada depth-nya. Untuk masalah ketahanan, karena punya Jo Malone kemarin aku hanya coba satu kali semprot di bagian tangan lalu aku berpergian menggunakan motor, jadi aku kurang bisa komentar banyak yah. Tapi mengingat Jo Malone punya itu tipenya cologne, yang secara teori lebih tidak awet, maka aku perkirakan ketahanannya kurang lebih sama. Untuk perbedaan harga yang jauh banget, menurutku parfum dari Miniso ini sangat menarik untuk dicoba! Pros + aroma fresh fruity with a hint of floral yang nggak bikin eneg + sangat terjangkau + dupe dari Jo Malone - English Pear & Freesia + packaging minimalis secara design maupun ukuran + mudah dibawa-bawa Cons - meskipun aku ngga berharap banyak parfum ini punya sillage yang bagus/menyebar, tapi aku kira akan lebih baik kalau sillage-nya lebih bagus lagi Overall rating 5/5 Aku inget banget tuh sekitar awal atau pertengahan tahun kemarin parfum satu ini ngehits banget dan diomongin dimana-mana. Is there any Indonesian beauty enthusiasts out there that don’t know about the Jo Malone dupe line from Miniso just yet? If you’ve read my reviews since the first time I started my beauty account on Instagram or even Female Daily, then you know that I already reviewed two variants from this line. And now, I’m going to review another variant from the same line. This variant is the best seller because people love it so much. In fact, it is the variant that made this perfume line became popular in the first place. Yep, it is Miniso British Pear! It’s a little bit too late to review this product, isn’t it? Hahaha. It’s because I had no interest at all on this variant, but one day, a few weeks ago, I found this scent quite interesting. By the way, this variant is well known as Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia dupe. I was wondering, how similar are these two? Because if the Miniso one is very similar to Jo Malone’s, then it is a steal for us low budget beauty enthusiasts ;p Price IDR59,000. Packaging A glass bottle with pretty and minimalist design. The size is small makes it easy to carry. Notes Top pear/apple, lychee, citrus/hesperidic Middle freesia, peony, transparent floral Base musky, amber, patchouli Sillage & Longevity Soft sillage & weak to moderate longevity. Compared to the Italian Bergamot variant, this British Pear variant is softer so of course, it has weaker longevity. For an EDT and its price, though, 4~6 hours longevity is enough for me. Result I was confused myself why I suddenly like this scent since I didn’t fancy it at all at first. It’s a fresh and not overwhelming scent. A fresh, fruity type of scent with a hint of floral. It can be a little bit too much when first sprayed, but it doesn’t take long for it to settle down and becomes softer. Even though there is amber in the base note, but I don’t spot any strong sweet scent. For a fresh type of scent like this, this perfume has quite good longevity 4-6 hours indoor. I don’t have the Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia, but I sprayed it once to my wrist when I visited their counter in a mall. I was pretty shocked because they’re very similar! Of course, there have to be some differences, such as the opening scent and the scent when it dries down. If I’m not mistaken, the opening scent of Miniso is more fruity, and Jo Malone has more depth when it dries. For the longevity of Jo Malone, well, I can’t tell because I just had one spray on the wrist and I travelled using motorbike afterwards. But remembering that Jo Malone is a cologne, which theoretically supposed to be weaker than an EDT, then I guess the longevity is not that different. For the very big price gap, I think the Miniso one is very interesting to try! Pros + a fresh, fruity scent with a hint of floral that is not overwhelming + very affordable + dupe for Jo Malone - English Pear & Freesia + a minimalist packaging, design and size-wise + easy to carry Cons - even though I don’t put much expectation for it, I still think it’d be better if it has better sillage Overall rating 5/5 I remember clearly that everyone talked about this perfume at the beginning or middle of last year.
