Talk to Someone If you are struggling to stop thinking about another person on your own, it might also be helpful to talk to a trusted friend or loved one about what you are experiencing. This can be a helpful way to get some emotional support and gain additional perspective on the situation. Enlisting the help of other people in your life means you’ll have someone to turn to if your thoughts become overwhelming. They can also help you make a plan for how to deal with the problem and offer to help find ways to keep you distracted from your thoughts.
